In April, local neighbors came together to create globes for a community mobile at the new Arts Collaborative Medford community arts center. Now it is time to make the backbone hanger for the mobile. Led by artist Susan Altman of Glass and Grout, you’ll be working with a fun collage of string, yarn, beads, spools, bottlecaps and straws. The hangers will all hang from pieces of bleached driftwood, resulting in a 6-foot long mobile. What a chaotic and colorful statement piece this will be, and ACM wants as many community members as possible to contribute to it. No art experience required, just the desire to laugh and play with materials. Register through the ACM website.
