Tufts Sunday Concert: Philipp Stäudlin

Tufts University continues its Sunday Concert Series with Philipp Stäudlin presenting a recital of music for the saxophone. Yoko Hagino will accompany on piano. Featurnig works by John Aylward, Eun Young Lee, Charles Wuorinen, Franz Schubert, John McDonald and William Albright.

Stäudlin is an award-winning virtuoso saxophonist who has performed hundreds of concerts throughout North America, Europe and Asia. His characteristic tonal qualities, deep sense of phrasing, and superb technical skills make him one of the most unique voices in today’s classical saxophone world. A native of Germany, Stäudlin has appeared as a soloist with the Boston Modern Orchestra Project and White Rabbit Ensemble (former ensemble-in-residence at Harvard University) along with many other orchestras. Free; no tickets required.
