Virtual Words and Music: Small Business and COVID-19

FreeThe West Medford Community Center launches its fourth season of its Words and Music program with a virtual session titled “Small Business and COVID-19: Not Business as Usual.” In the “Words,” segment, moderated by Terry E. Carter, a panel of business owners, entrepreneurs and city representatives will discuss challenges, opportunities, reinvention, community and survival in the COVID-19 era. Farayi Malek, a jazz and contemporary vocalist, will perform in the “Music” portion of the program. She holds music degrees from the New England Conservatory of Music and the Berklee Global Jazz Institute.

West Medford Community Center launched Words and Music in 2017. Usually presented on the first Friday of every month, the event starts off with a discussion on a valuable aspect of the community, followed by a performance by a local musician or musicians.
