The Medford Historical Society & Museum and Friends of the Middlesex Fells invite you to learn about Medford’s connection to the Korean War during this walking tour to the 90mm Meadow in the Fells. Leader Kyle McGrath will guide a hike to the 90mm Meadow near Ram’s Head Hill to explore a disused Korean War anti-aircraft artillery military site there. Learn about the historical context of the site, examine physical ruins to reconstruct the base, and discuss its modern significance to pollinator conservation as a human-made meadow.

The walk will start at the northeast corner of the Medford High School parking lot, near the Vocational-Technical School and the Mustang Loop trailhead. Participants will hike approximately two-thirds of a mile (a 15- to 20- minute easy-moderate walk) from the trailhead to the 90mm site.
