Words and Music: Local Entrepreneurship
Friday, January 4, 2019 @ 8:00 pm - 10:00 pm
FreeThe West Medford Community Center presents its monthly “Words and Music” program.
The topic for the “Words” portion of the evening will be “Getting down to the Business of Entrepreneurship,” a conversation about small business, entrepreneurship, and community support for neighborhood enterprise. Panelists will look at this vital aspect of local economic health and development from a variety of perspectives with business people, network builders, and other diverse resources.
The “Music” portion of the evening will feature the rhythm and blues band The Brothers Walk, which has strong roots in Medford. The band’s rocking blend of dance tunes, dynamic vocals, jazzy rhythms and upbeat standards gets people up to boogie at weddings, clubs and special events from West Medford to West Bridgewater.
The Community Center launched Words and Music in mid-2017. Offered the first Friday of every month, the event starts off with a discussion on a valuable aspect of the community, followed by a performance by a local musician or musicians.
