The West Medford Community Center’s monthly Words and Music program will feature a one-on-one conversation with Frances Nwajei, the City of Medford’s new Director of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion. Learn about Frances’ background and life experiences, her key role in the city administration, and her perspectives on DEI and the pursuit of “the beloved community” in all areas of life in the city. The evening’s music will be provided by vocalist Athene Wilson and keyboard virtuoso Rollins Ross.

In-person seating is limited, and masks and registration are required (sign-up link to be announced). The program also will be shown live on the WMCC Facebook page and on Medford Community Media television channels 3 (Comcast) and 47 (Verizon).

West Medford Community Center launched Words and Music in 2017. Usually presented on the first Friday of every month, the event starts off with a discussion on a valuable aspect of the community, followed by a performance by a local musician or musicians.
