The West Medford Community Center continues its “Words and Music” program, this month highlighting the Medford Family Network family support and parenting education program. In the “Words” portion of the evening, Medford Family Network director Marie Cassidy and some MFN partners will discuss parenting basics and the many ways the MFN helps to enhance the joy in raising young kids in a family-friendly city such as Medford. In the “Music” segment, Arlington vocalist and instrumentalist Rick Silberg returns to the WMCC, joined by pianist Ben Broder, for an evening of stirring jazz and unique stylings.

The West Medford Community Center launched Words and Music in 2017. Usually presented on the first Friday of every month, the event starts off with a discussion on a valuable aspect of the community, followed by a performance by a local musician or musicians.
