The Medford Family Network kicks off its seven-concert summer series with Karen K and the Jitterbugs at Wright’s Pond. In addition to music, dancing, movement and sing-a-longs, there will be open art activities, free books and community information.

Activities take place from 5 to 6 p.m., with the concert from 6 to 7 p.m.

For all families who do not have a Wright’s Pond sticker, a bus will be provided from 5 p.m. to one half-hour before sunset. The bus will continuously pick up on Elm Street at two locations: the Flynn Rink parking lot, and the MBTA #100 bus stop, at the bottom of Elm Street.

Other Wright’s Pond concerts will be presented on July 17 (Vanessa Trien and the Jumping Monkeys), July 24 (All Hands Drumming), and July 31 (Alastair Moock).

Three MFN concerts will be held at the Condon Band Shell park in August, featuring a special guest on August 7; Matt Heaton and the Outside Toys on August 14; and Ben Rudnick and Friends on August 21.
