Film Screening: Tough Guise 2
The Medford Film Collaborative and Sanctuary United Church of Christ is presending screenings and discussions of four films this summer that consider the American disease of violence. The films will take viewers on a journey through the causes and conditions of some of America's dis-ease including the gun debate, toxic masculinity, the impact of pornography on our sexuality, and the ease with which we use violence toward those who are different. Outdoor film: Coco
Hillside Community Church is hosing a free outdoor showing of the movie "Coco." In the film, an aspiring young musician, when confronted with his family's ancestral ban on music, enters the Land of the Dead to find his great-great-grandfather, a legendary singer. Postponed: Dance Caliente Waltz Lessons
Due to public safety concerns surrounding the coronavirus outbreak, the Medford Public Library has canceled this free waltz dance lesson class led by Dance Caliente. A new date will be announced. Additional classes scheduled in the Tuesday night series at Hillside Community Church are on Argentine Tango (April 7), Salsa (May 12), Swing and Lindy (June 9), and West Coast Swing (July 7).

Black Lives Matter Film Series: 13th
Sanctuary United Church of Christ and Hillside Community Church present an outdoor (Hillside backyard) and virtual screening and discussion of the film "13th." Filmmaker Ava DuVernay explores the history of racial inequality in the United States, focusing on the fact that the nation's prisons are disproportionately filled with African-Americans. Tufts Enchanted A Cappella Concert
Hillside Community Church on North Street welcomes the a cappella group Tufts Enchanted to perform its 10-year anniversary concert, "Tenchanted."
