The City of Medford presents the first of three free summer concerts at the refurbished Condon Band Shell. Performing tonight will be Krush Faktory, a prolific collective of soulful musicians and friends from the Boston area. Jimmy Trapella, Kabir Sen and Craig “Akira” Fujita provide positive, uplifting lyrics, vivid stories and rich three-part harmonies over delicious chord progressions and funky reggae beats.

Prior to the concert there will be welcoming remarks from Mayor Breanna Lungo-Koehn, as well as a chance to meet artist Meagan O’Brien, who painted the new mural on the shell in June. The shell was refurbished using $80,265 in Community Preservation Act funds approved in May 2018; the mural was added with $30,000 raised by CACHE.

Other concerts in the series will feature Jen Kearney on August 12 and Woo Factor on September 2.
