The Medford Arts Council is a city-appointed, volunteer-led agency that promotes excellence, access, education, and diversity in the arts and humanities. Each year it provides funds to support numerous public activities in Medford in the areas of arts and culture, including concerts, festivals, performances, classes, and school field trips. The funds its distributes through grants to artists and organizations in Medford come from an annual allocation from the Massachusetts Cultural Council through its Local Cultural Council (LCC) program, as well as annual funds allocated from the City of Medford.
